The short answer

MacRepertory is a respected program whose last listed release dates from 2019; CuraSim is actively built, AI-assisted and runs on any device.

  • Actively developed. CuraSim ships improvements continually — new repertories rebuilt from source, analysis features and fixes — with nothing to download or reinstall.
  • AI built in — and it shows its working. Describe the case in your own words and CuraSim proposes real rubrics from Kent’s repertory, weights Mind and Generals, and ranks remedies — each one traced back to the rubrics that put it there and linked to its Materia Medica, inside the same program.
  • One account on every device. CuraSim runs in the browser on a Mac, Windows PC, tablet or phone — nothing to install, no licence per machine, no separate mobile subscription.
  • The whole practice beside the repertory. Patients, appointments, prescriptions, GST bills, medical certificates, reports and follow-ups on the same record as the repertorization.

What MacRepertory & ReferenceWorks is

MacRepertory (repertorization) and ReferenceWorks (materia medica search) were for many years among the most widely used homeopathic programs. Synergy now hosts their installers, with Complete Repertory versions up to 2018; the latest listed program version is from October 2019, and the Windows copy uses a hardware-style licence driver.

Where MacRepertory & ReferenceWorks is genuinely strong

  • Mature, widely used tools that many practitioners learned on.
  • Multilingual Complete Repertory versions still downloadable.

When MacRepertory & ReferenceWorks may suit you better

If your practice runs on years of MacRepertory cases and its workflow is second nature, staying with it may be the least disruptive path for now.

The fairest test is your own: run the same two or three completed, de-identified cases through both, and compare the rubrics each one finds, how clearly it shows its reasoning, and how much you had to correct. CuraSim’s Student plan is free, so that test costs nothing on our side.

CuraSim is clinical decision support for qualified practitioners. No software replaces clinical assessment, referral, or the prescriber’s responsibility for the remedy, potency and follow-up. Product names belong to their owners and are used here only to identify them.
