CuraSim vs jRep

jRep is a German repertorization program focused on classical sources and polarity analysis, on desktop, mobile and web.

Reviewed 5 October 2026 from Thorsten Stegemann’s public pages · Repertory software

The short answer

jRep is a classical purist’s tool sold by module; CuraSim’s classical shelf, AI analysis and patient record come in one plan, free to start.

  • The classical shelf in one plan. Boenninghausen’s Pocket Book, Boger’s BBCR and Synoptic Key, Kent, Knerr, Lippe and more — included, not bought one module at a time.
  • AI built in — and it shows its working. Describe the case in your own words and CuraSim proposes real rubrics from Kent’s repertory, weights Mind and Generals, and ranks remedies — each one traced back to the rubrics that put it there and linked to its Materia Medica, inside the same program.
  • The whole practice beside the repertory. Patients, appointments, prescriptions, GST bills, medical certificates, reports and follow-ups on the same record as the repertorization.
  • Nineteen interface languages, included. Ten Indian and nine international interface languages at no extra cost — rubrics and remedy names stay in the books’ own English, so a case moves between colleagues.

What jRep is

jRep concentrates on Hahnemann’s works, Bönninghausen’s Pocket Book, Boger and Kent, with the Complete and Saine repertories and dozens more as modules, and is known for polarity analysis after Heiner Frei. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS and the web. The base program is a one-time purchase; modules are priced individually.

Where jRep is genuinely strong

  • Strong classical-source and polarity-analysis focus.
  • Very broad platform coverage, including Linux and the web; offline mobile use.
  • A perpetual base licence with modules bought as needed.

When jRep may suit you better

If you practise Bönninghausen polarity analysis and want Hahnemann’s own texts as modules, jRep is built by and for that school.

The fairest test is your own: run the same two or three completed, de-identified cases through both, and compare the rubrics each one finds, how clearly it shows its reasoning, and how much you had to correct. CuraSim’s Student plan is free, so that test costs nothing on our side.

Try the comparison on your own cases

Thirteen repertories, AI that shows its working, and the whole patient record — free to start, no card required.

CuraSim is clinical decision support for qualified practitioners. No software replaces clinical assessment, referral, or the prescriber’s responsibility for the remedy, potency and follow-up. Product names belong to their owners and are used here only to identify them.
